Spring in the East Kootenay

The long, slow motion spring of 2022… cool, moist, sometimes tempestuous and occasionally nice.

With COVID-19 restrictions and hallucinations fading somewhat, society returned to pre-2020 ways, mostly, though I admit to being even more of a recluse than prior to the pandemic.

Being reclusive, and otherwise chained to my computer, doesn’t allow one to get out and about often but we did manage to hit all main areas of the East Kootenay during the spring.

The following images were captured in: Cranbrook/Gold Creek; Bummer Flat; Canal Flats; Columbia Lake; Elk Valley; Fairmont Hot Springs; Invermere; Kimberley and Moyie Lake.

Birds pictured include Bohemian Waxwings, hummingbirds, crows, osprey and song sparrows.
