Summer in the East Kootenay 2020

We’re a bit early, as summer doesn’t officially end until tomorrow, but 2020 has been one of the weirder and more annoying years in a few decades.

Summer 2020 for us consisted of us not getting out as much as usual, mostly because of annual events being cancelled, such as Elkford’s Wildcat Days, Cranbrook’s Sam Steele Days, Kimberley’s JulyFest etc.

Our annual look at life and natural beauty in the East Kootenay in the summer is sans smoky skies, which arrived as summer only ended (thankfully). The collection features some COVID-19 images, such a series showing Invermere Farmers’ Market.

Without adieu, the following collection of East Kootenay images includes the following locations: Canal Flats; Columbia River and Valley; Cranbrook; Delphine Creek; Elk River; Fairmont Hot Springs; Gold Creek; Invermere; Jumbo Creek drainage; Kootenay Forest Service Road/Kootenay Valley; Kootenay National Park; Kootenay River; Lake Koocanusa; Ravenshead FSR; Radium Hot Springs; Toby Creek drainage; White River FSR; Whiteswan Provincial Park; Windermere; Wycliffe.
