Teck celebrates Ducks Unlimited Canada’s 80th anniversary
Teck is a strong financial supporter of Ducks Unlimited Canada’s (DUC) commitment to wetland conservation.
In recognition of DUC’s 80th year in Canada and 50th in B.C., Teck has donated $8,000 to the Kootenay chapters of DUC. This will offset the costs of putting on the prestigious DUC dinner/auction events in Cranbrook, Nelson, Creston and Trail.
DUC events in the Kootenays have raised over $3.5 million while at the same spent $7.8 million on 63 projects ranging from small wetland recoveries to large dykes and developments in the East and West Kootenay.
Teck challenges business and individuals to donate $8 to $800 or match their commitment of $8,000 to celebrate the DUC 80th anniversary. A fun and easy way to help DUC is to attend one of the dinner/auction events here in the Kootenays or across Canada.
Follow us on Facebook at Kootenay Ducks Unlimited for dates and locations of dinner events in the Kootenays or at ducks.ca for events across B.C. and Canada.
