Traffic moving again after vehicle fire in Kootenay Pass
UPDATE: Highway 3 west of Creston is now open to single lane alternating traffic. Expect minor delays. Watch for traffic control.
A vehicle fire earlier this morning (August 17) has closed Highway 3 near Kootenay Pass.
DriveBC reports the vehicle fire was between the East Avalanche Gate and West Creston Road, about 15 km east of Kootenay Pass.
The road is closed and the next update is expected at 1 p.m. MDT.
