Upcoming RDEK Public Hearings
The following is the roster of upcoming Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) public hearings, to be held in between July 21 and August 4 by Zoom.
Bylaw No. 2985 “Regional District of East Kootenay – Electoral Area E Zoning and Floodplain Management Bylaw No. 2502, 2014 – Amendment Bylaw No. 26, 2020 (Meadowbrook / Seifried)” will amend the zone designation of Lot 2, District Lot 2711, Kootenay District, Plan NEP20458 from RR-60 Rural Resource Zone to RR-8, Rural Residential (Country) Zone and RR-2, Rural Residential (Small Holding) Zone.

Bylaw No. 2986 “Regional District of East Kootenay – Steamboat – Jubilee Mountain Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1926, 2006 – Amendment Bylaw No. 14, 2020 (Edgewater / Lautrup)” will amend the OCP designation of part of the subject property from RR, Rural Resource to INST, Institutional.
Bylaw No. 2987 “Regional District of East Kootenay – Upper Columbia Valley Zoning Bylaw No. 900, 1992 – Amendment Bylaw No. 360, 2020 (Edgewater / Lautrup)” will amend part of the subject property from A-2, Rural Residential (Country) Zone to P-3, Public Works and Utility Zone.

Bylaw No. 2988 “Regional District of East Kootenay – Upper Columbia Valley Zoning Bylaw No. 900, 1992 – Amendment Bylaw No. 361, 2020 (Windermere North / PrairieWind Development Corp)” will amend the text of the zoning bylaw to permit additional commercial and light industrial uses on portions of the subject property.

Bylaw No. 2995 “Regional District of East Kootenay – Lake Windermere Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2929, 2019 – Amendment Bylaw No. 3, 2020 (Windermere South / Dubois)” will amend the OCP designation of the subject property from R-SF, Residential Low Density to CR, Commercial Recreation.
Bylaw No. 2996 “Regional District of East Kootenay – Upper Columbia Valley Zoning Bylaw No. 900, 1992 – Amendment Bylaw No. 363, 2020 (Windermere South / Dubois)” will amend the subject property from R-1, Single Family Residential Zone to RES-1, Recreation Accommodation Zone.
