Upcoming RDEK public hearings

The following provides details of two upcoming Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) public hearings dealing with land use decisions for Columbia Lake West / Bella Vista Properties Ltd. and another covering the Tie Lake Shore Road N / Sunshine Bay Resort area.

TONIGHT- Tuesday, Jan. 26

Bylaw No. 3020 – Regional District of East Kootenay – Fairmont Hot Springs & Columbia Lake Area Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2779, 2017 – Amendment Bylaw No. 7, 2020 (Columbia Lake West / Bella Vista Properties Ltd) will amend the designation of part of Lot 1, District Lot 4596, Kootenay District, Plan NEP86504 from R-SF, Residential Low Density to R-MF, Residential Multi-Family.

Bylaw No. 3021 – Regional District of East Kootenay – Upper Columbia Valley Zoning Bylaw No. 900, 1992 – Amendment Bylaw No. 366, 2020 (Columbia Lake West / Bella Vista Properties Ltd) will amend the designation of part of Lot 1, District Lot 4596, Kootenay District, Plan NEP86504 from A-2, Rural Residential (Country) Zone, to R-3, Multiple Family Residential – Medium Density Zone.

Bylaw No. 2855 – Regional District of East Kootenay – Jaffray, Tie Lake, Rosen Lake Land Use and Floodplain Management Bylaw No. 1414, 1999 – Amendment Bylaw No. 30, 2018 (Tie Lake Shore Rd N / Sunshine Bay Resort)”will; a) add a portion of property into the land use bylaw boundary, b) add a new designation and regulations for a recreational resort property and, c) amend the designation of Lot A, District Lot 4590, Kootenay District, Plan NEP77520 from undesignated and C-3, Recreation Commercial to RES-1, Resort Recreation.
