Wildfire reported southwest of Canal Flats
BC Wildfire Service is this morning reporting a lightning-caused wildfire in the Sandown Creek area.
Ignited June 24, the approximate .02-hectare fire is located about 20 km southwest of Canal Flats and 30 km north of Kimberley.
There is also a new .02-ha fire burning off Hedstrom Road about 1.5 km northeast of Crawford Bay.
It is believed that fire is person-caused.
