District of Elkford council Nov. 14 appointed Mayor Dean McKerracher or an alternate to be part of the working group being established by Dr. Moira Stillwell, MLA Vancouver-Langara to develop an approach to bring home the B.C. medical students studying to become doctors in other countries.  More than 500 B.C. residents are studying to be physicians in many English speaking countries.  They face the challenge of finding the B.C. residency positions when they graduate.  Dr. Stillwell’s goal is to increase the number of training residency positions across B.C.
