District of Elkford introduces new CAO

District of Elkford Mayor Dean McKerracher and council are excited to welcome Tyler Madsen to the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), who will begin in the role on November 4.

Madsen brings regional knowledge and diverse local government experience, paired with a proactive and strategic leadership style that will continue to move the district in a successful and sustainable direction.His knowledge is wide-ranging, anchored by experience in both the public and private sectors, including direct experience in asset management, community planning and development, and human resources.

“Mr. Madsen’s education and professional experience, combined with his proven ability to build effective teams and foster community relationships, established his standing as the successful candidate. On behalf of council, staff and residents, I welcome Tyler to the team and to the community,” stated Mayor McKerracher.

Madsen was most recently the Director of Operations and Development with the District of Sparwood. He replaces Curtis Helgesen who moved to Burns Lake to helm the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako last summer, after serving 13 years with the district.
