Elkford artist taking show to Revelstoke
Elkford artist Katherine Russell takes her kiln-formed glass skills to Revelstoke July 26 to August 23 for a show at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre.
Memories Are Malleable is an exploration of truth and remembrance. Katherine Russell contemplates the construction and reconstruction of memory through kiln-formed glass, “translating these findings in the form of an in-depth texture study.”
She speaks to the complexities of memory, such as its incompleteness, inaccuracy, and above all its malleability.
Join in on July 26 from 5-9 p.m. at Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre for an opening reception, and an artist talk the following day at 3 p.m.
A Katherine Russell work was recently unveiled at the Elkford Community and Conference Centre.
