Elkford Clean Up an amazing effort
The Elkford Chamber of Commerce is thanking everyone for taking part in the Elkford Clean Up program for the spring.
The chamber reports: “We had an amazing 21 groups and 20 individuals register from May 1 to June 15, over 70 bags of debris, garbage and recycling pick up from our pathways, roadsides and recreational areas and $2,150 in gift cards to local restaurants given out!”
A special thank you was issued to Bearspaw Contracting for supplying the gift cards, Teck for supplying the bags and PPE and to sponsors RMR, NWP Coal, Elkford Snowmobile Association and Nightcralwer.
“Very proud of our town for putting the effort in to keep Elkford clean and safe for everyone to enjoy,” the chamber noted on social media.
“We start the program back up on September 1 to October 15; hope everyone has a great summer!”
