Thanks to generosity and community leadership, the Elkford Community Fund is moving closer to its goal of raising $25,000 in order to access $75,000 in matching funds.

In other words, for every $1 donated, the Elkford Community Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies (CFKR) will receive $3 in matching funds! The final result will be a permanently invested $100,000 endowment fund, which will return approximately $2,200 to $2,300 to non-profits in Elkford, every year, forever.

The fund’s current total is $8,020.

“We are very close to our interim goal of $10,000. Once we reach $10,000, we can officially establish the fund and gain access to the Vancouver Foundation’s no-fee online donation website,” Elkford Community Fund noted on Facebook.
