Elkford Council News
The following is a breakdown as to what occurred during the January 9 District of Elkford council meeting.
Abruzzi Heights Infrastructure
The District of Elkford awarded the contract for the Abruzzi Heights Infrastructure Replacement Design and Project Management to McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. The project will be started in 2017.
Wapiti Ski Hill Feasibility Study
The district will enter into a contract with Ratnik Industries for a feasibility study for snow making equipment for the Wapiti Ski Hill. This study will determine what investments would need to be made to provide snow making capability, how it could impact the operation of the hill, and to determine if it would be sustainable.
Bylaws
Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 790, 2017 was adopted. The purpose of this bylaw is to rezone Lot 8 on Boivin Road from C-1 Town Centre Commercial to R-1 Single-Unit Residential.
Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 793, 2017 was adopted. The purpose of this bylaw is to rezone Lot 4 at 224 Alpine Way from C-1 Town Centre Commercial to R-1 Single-Unit Residential.
