Family Programming   

Storytime (Ages three to five years) Tuesdays 11:15-11:45 a.m. Stories, singing and activities for preschoolers and their caregivers.

Toddlertime (Ages up to two years) Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:15-11:45 a.m. Singing, simple stories and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers.

Weekend Family Storytime: Saturday, April 14 1-1:30 p.m. The Lorax Storytime: join us for singing, activities and fun for the whole family!

Senior Storytime (for all ages with seniors and local preschoolers/ kindergarteners)

Tom Uphill Manor Main Room: Wed., April 4 at 1:30 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Village Serenity Room: Wed., April 11 at 1 p.m.

Trinity Lodge: Main Front Room: Wed., April 25 at 1:30 p.m.

All community seniors and children welcome to attend!

Children’s Activities for ages seven to 12  

All children must have valid waivers and Junior library cards to participate in afterschool programs.

SPRING REGISTRATION FAIR

April 4 & 5 at the Fernie Community Centre from 5-8 p.m.

Come find our booth at the Spring Registration Fair to discover services and programs for all ages, stages and walks of life. Lifelong Learning at the library!

TUESDAYS  3:45-4:45 p.m. EARTH KIDS (Drop-in, ages eight and up.)

Let’s roll up our sleeves and find out how kids can to a be part of a sustainable, friendly, smart, earth-friendly future.

WEDNESDAYS  3:45-5 p.m. LEGO CLUB (Registration required, ages seven and up).

New challenge every week. Registration is OPEN using eventbrite: FHL Spring Lego 2018.

THURSDAYS 3:45-5 p.m. KNITS AND KNOTS (Drop-in, ages eight and up).

For crafty kids who love to knit, crochet or want to learn! All materials and basic instruction is provided.

FUN FRIDAY/SUPER SATURDAY April 13 and 14 from 2-3:30 p.m. WALL-E MOVIE & POPCORN

(Drop-in; ages seven and up.) Celebrate Earth Day with this lovable robot.

MAKING MEMORIES (Drop in for ages five to nine and caregivers) Saturday, April 7 1:30-2:30 p.m.

An hour of stories, activities and a craft, centered around the theme of goodbyes and making memories with those we love; in collaboration with Elk Valley Hospice.

Adult Programming

Walkie Talkie Book Club Wednesday, April 11 at 10 a.m (Book.: Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur). An outdoor, walking book club. We will meet on the front steps of the library, walk along along the river path and chat as we go.  Email [email protected] for further information.

Ukulele 101 APRIL edition – Thursday, April 12 6:30 -7:30 p.m. Music builds brain power! Register on eventbrite for this free, one-hour beginner workshop and begin playing the ukulele. Ukes available for use during and sign-out after the workshop. Limited spots available.

Plastic Bag Challenge: DIY Produce bags Thursday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Be a part of the change! Create your own Upcycled produce bags to keep our community and our planet plastic-free. Free program: register online at Eventbrite. Offered by your local library-the original recycler!

Tea and Talk Book Club: Friday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m.

Copies of the current monthly book are available from the library.
