Carts left outdoors ransacked by bruins
WildSafeBC Elk Valley today reports that bears are ripping into garbage and recycling carts left outdoors all over the City of Fernie.
Additionally, it reported a biker encountered a grizzly and cubs on Deadfall; while a black bear and cubs has been spotted near the Montane Hut.
At home: keep garbage indoors or take it to the transfer station or community dumpsters. For more details go HERE.
On the trail: be prepared and expect to encounter wildlife anytime.
