The City of Fernie is seeking witnesses who may know anything about a spate of vandalism this summer.

“This summer we have experienced thousands of dollars of damage to washroom facilities and trees in our city parks. Vandalism not only costs taxpayers’ money, but pulls staff from other initiatives, and can lead to a reduction in the amenities we can offer,” the city noted on social media this morning (August 29).

The city is asking anyone who has witnessed city property being damaged to report it to Elk Valley RCMP detachment.
