Community Nordic ski day March 24
On March 24, Fernie Nordic Society, Fernie Trails Alliance and Teck will host a public community ski day to celebrate their partnership and responsible and sustainable recreational use of natural areas.
The free, all-ages event at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre will include fun activities, including Nordic lessons with former Olympians, live music from Redgirl, free ski rentals, a caricature artist, BBQ, s’more station, games and more.
The event will run from noon to 3 p.m., with remarks from dignitaries beginning at about 1:15 p.m.
The Elk Valley Nordic Centre is located at 500 Mt Fernie Park Road.
