Elk Valley RCMP report they recently received a report that a caucasian male had removed election signs and threw them in a business garbage bin at or near 802 Crowsnest Highway in Fernie.

“RCMP located the male who advised that he had no faith in the government. It is an offence to tamper with election signs,” said Cst. Debra Katerenchuk of Elk Valley RCMP

The male was ordered to return to the scene, dig out the signs from the garbage bin and place them back where he had originally found them, she added.
