Fernie doing Canada Day From Home

The Fernie Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the City of Fernie, The Arts Station, the Fernie Library, the Fernie Museum and Wapiti Music Festival to bring our community ‘Canada Day from Home.’

This is an opportunity for our community to come together from a distance and celebrate this amazing country where we live.

This is going to look a little different from previous years, but we are super excited about the creative activities being offered and we encourage everyone to get involved.

Events include a home/business decorating contest, online craft sessions with free craft kits available, an online Great Fernie Bake Off, a mobile celebration parading around town to capture how Fernie shows up to celebrate Canada Day amidst COVID-19, a live stream concert, Griz sightings and more!

We have really worked hard to come up with fun ways to safely show up and celebrate together from a distance. Keep an eye on the City of Fernie and the Fernie Chamber’s Facebook pages for details on these events and how to get involved!

Let’s all be calm, be kind, be safe and show our #ferniestoke this Canada Day!
