Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was called out this afternoon to rescue an injured snowmobiler in the Rolling Hills area, southeast of Fernie.

Fernie SAR techs responded via snowmobile and helicopter (Bighorn Helicopters) to stabilize and extricate the man.

Despite challenging weather, an air evacuation was completed, Fernie SAR reported on social media.

He was delivered to BC Ambulance Service with a suspected serious hip injury.
