Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was tasked by the RCMP yesterday afternoon (July 13) to rescue an injured mountain biker on the Swine Flu trail.

“The rider, a local man, fell off while riding up the upper section of the climb. He sustained significant injuries to his back and ribs when he fell off the trail,” Fernie SAR reported on social media.

The rider was evacuated by toboggan and then UTV and handed over to BC Ambulance Service.
