Fernie SAR respond to false activation
On Saturday afternoon (Jan. 11), Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was tasked by the RCMP to respond to an InReach activation in the Morrissey area for a group of sledders.
It turned out to be a false activation, and the owner of the device is following up with the company to determine the cause.
Search and Rescue is always happy to respond, and it is a good day when we discover that it is not an emergency.
