The City of Fernie is alerting residents that Talon Helicopters will be performing low level flying for power line LiDAR mapping with Terra Remote Sensing for BC Hydro on Monday, June 25.

“The flights will occur daylight hours, per a waiver granted by Transport Canada,” the city noted.

Alternate weather dates are June 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, July 1, 2, and 3. The duration of the flight is estimated to be approximately four hours.

There will be no activity on the ground related to this flight.
