Rotary’s Feast for a Cause supporting local healthcare
Get ready for an unforgettable evening of food and philanthropy! The Rotary Club of Fernie is excited to announce the return of Feast for a Cause, happening Saturday, May 3 at the Fernie Memorial Arena.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Fernie and Culinary Advisor, Chef Barrie Elliott from Fernie Catering Co., Feast for a Cause is all about celebrating Fernie’s food scene and our community’s spirit of giving back.
Guests will enjoy a unique long table dinner experience, featuring creative small plates crafted by 12 talented local chefs. Hosted by the dynamic MC Sadie Rosgen, this high-energy evening promises engaging chef spotlights, exciting awards, and the thrill of bidding on over $10,000 worth of incredible silent auction items.
In 2024, this sold-out event raised over $40,000 in support of the East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s (EKFH) ‘Warm Embrace’ campaign and several local community projects.
This year, the Rotary Club of Fernie is setting its sights even higher, partnering with Elk Valley Hospital (Fernie) and the EKFH to purchase critical diagnostic equipment, including a much-needed fetal monitor.
Thanks to EKFH’s generous fundraising match, every dollar raised will have twice the impact for the community.
Special thanks to Elk Valley Resources (EVR), Eldho’s Independent Grocer, NWP Coal Canada Ltd., PJB Crane Services Ltd., Lauren Gervais PREC – Century 21, and McElhanney for their continued support and to the local businesses for their very generous donations to the silent auction.
Purchase your ticket online at feastforacause.ca by April 19 and enjoy early bird pricing.
