Congratulations to the Fernie Falcons Senior Boys Volleyball Team.

The Fernie Secondary School team won the East Kootenay Championships and is headed to the Provincial Championships in Terrace next week.

Elk Valley resident Shelley Lynch offered her congratulations and an update on the team on Facebook.

“Thank you to Transcendent Mining and Mobilization Inc. and Fiorentino Bros. Contracting Ltd. for their donations and everyone who helped with the bottle drive and purchases at the Bake Sale last night (Nov. 19) at the Ghostriders game. The boys managed to raise $1,000 towards their trip; great job! Good luck! Give it all you got, but most importantly have FUN!” she said.
