Four injured in multi-vehicle crash at Galloway
The RCMP’s East Kootenay Traffic Services and Elk Valley Detachment officers are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 3/93 at Galloway late yesterday afternoon.
The collision occurred on May 30, at approx. 5:30 p.m. in a highway construction zone. The collision involved a commercial vehicle and four private vehicles. Four persons were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries ranging from serious to critical in nature.
The highway was closed for approximately seven hours as police investigated. More information will be provided later today, reported East Kootenay Traffic Services.
The incident occurred about three km east of Jaffray where highway widening and paving work is being done.
The road in that area is reduced to single lane alternating traffic with possible delays up to 10 minutes. Please reduce speed to 50 km/h during construction hours and 70 km/h during non-working hours.
