WildSafeBC Elk Valley Oct. 9 reports a variety of bear sightings around the valley, including a grizzly bear feeding on a carcass on Lower Elk Valley Road by the Whispering Winds Mobile Home Park near Sparwood.

“Do not stop in your vehicle or approach this grizzly bear defending a carcass,”WildSafeBC advised.

There have been grizzly and black bears reported throughout the Elk Valley and South Country.
