Snowfall warning for Elk Valley

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Elk Valley.

Snowfall with total amounts near 15 cm is expected near Fernie.

A cold front will stall over southeastern B.C. tonight before moving out of the region Thursday morning. Snow will begin over the Elk Valley this evening with up to 15 cm expected for Fernie by Thursday morning.

Elsewhere in the Elk Valley, such as Sparwood, five to 10 cm of snowfall is expected, Environment Canada stated.

There is also a snowfall warning for Kootenay Pass to Paulson Summit on Highway 3.

Snowfall, with total amounts of 20 to 25 cm is expected.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
