With the Sparwood Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament happening today, Coal Miner Days 2022 is well underway.

However, things really get rocking starting Friday, June 10 to Sunday, June 12.

Coal Miner Days is Sparwood’s community celebration that has something for everyone from sporting events to bounce houses and everything in between.

Check out the slo-pitch and soccer tourneys, the wide variety of food trucks, live music, fireworks on Friday night, roller skating, beverage gardens and fire truck rides Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. beside the curling rink.

“Each year we work hard to bring a fun, inexpensive weekend to the residents and visitors of Sparwood, while highlighting all of the great things that our community has to offer. The focus for our event continues to be about building community spirit, lending a helping hand and getting involved all while showcasing our community,” Sparwood Coal Miner Days Society explains on its website.
