District of Sparwood voters have a full slate of candidates in the Oct. 15 general election.

Former district councillor Hungry Baytaluke is taking on multi-term incumbent Mayor David Wilks for the mayoral seat.

And there are nine candidates for the office of councillor, including incumbents John Baher, Amy Cardozo, Jason Christensen and Ron (Sonny) Saad.

Also running for council are Sam Atwal, Steven Kallies, Ralph Lovatt, Chris Nand and Rose Sharma.

Six council seats are up for grabs in the election.

Finally four people are vying for Sparwood’s School District No. 5 school board of trustees seat, including Sam Atwal, Hungry Baytaluke, Bev Bellina and Cheryl Christensen.
