District of Sparwood mayoral and council hopefuls squared off Oct. 3 at the Recreation Centre during the Sparwood Chamber of Commerce’s all-candidates’ forum.

Former district councillor Hungry Baytaluke and multi-term incumbent Mayor David Wilks outlined their platforms and views.

And nine candidates for the office of councillor did the same, including incumbents John Baher, Amy Cardozo, Jason Christensen and Ron (Sonny) Saad, as well as Sam Atwal, Steven Kallies, Ralph Lovatt, Chris Nand and Rose Sharma.

Six council seats are up for grabs in the election.
