Truck, camper and side-by-side stolen in Sparwood

On November 6, at approximately 3:08 p.m., Elk Valley RCMP was notified of a theft of truck, camper and side-by-side from the Sparwood Mini Storage located at 5000 Highway 43 in Sparwood.

The complainant reports his black 2006 Ford F350 dually with a B.C. licence plate of KC8587, a white 2007 Okanagan truck camper (model 117DBL) and a grey Continental enclosed trailer with B.C. licence plate 75052D were stolen from the storage area.

Inside the trailer was a white 2011 Artic Cat Side-by-Side with a B.C. licence plate of 4B5626. All vehicles and trailer had been seen by the owner within the past five days prior to the theft. Surveillance video from the location is being obtained as of writing, reported Elk Valley RCMP Detachment commander S/Sgt. Svend Nielsen.

The owner, when discovering the theft, put out a message on social media where one person reported seeing the entire set-up travelling westbound on Highway 3 near Hosmer at 7:50 a.m. on November 6.

“The investigator immediately sent out information to neighbouring detachments, with no results received thus far. There are currently no suspects or other witnesses,” S/Sgt. Nielsen said.

Anyone with information can contact the Elk Valley RCMP at 250-425-6233 to speak with an officer or contact BC Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) to report their information anonymously. Please refer to file 2022-3464.
