Civic Centre reopening delayed
The City of Kimberley would like to advise residents and user groups that the reopening of the Kimberley Civic Centre, originally scheduled for September 18, has been postponed due to delays in installing the new ice plant that will serve both the Civic Centre and the Kimberley Curling Club.
The facility is now expected to reopen on September 26.
While we understand this delay may be disappointing for arena users eager to return to the ice, the new ice plant is a significant investment that will support reliable ice-making operations for both facilities for years to come.
The additional time is needed to complete this important work and ensure the system is fully operational before reopening.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of residents, user groups, and the broader community as this project nears completion.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Civic Centre on September 26 and kicking off another great season on the ice.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
