Avalanche Awareness Day, a national celebration of Canada’s avalanche safety expertise, was recognized by Kimberley Alpine Resort on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Kimberley and Cranbrook Search and Rescue team members and Kimberley AlpineResort mountain staff were on hand to answer questions, hold transceiver practice, Recco and avalanche dog demonstrations and more.
