By-election set for July 30
The Council of ʔaq̓am wishes to inform membership that one Councillor position has become vacant.
In accordance with the ʔaq̓am Custom Election Regulations (Revised 2024), council has authorized a By-Election to fill the vacant Councillor position, with the successful candidate serving a term expiring in October 2028.
Nomination Meeting:
Thursday, July 9, 2026;
6 – 6:45 p.m.;
ʔaq̓am Administration Boardroom.
Eligible electors are encouraged to review the candidate requirements and nomination procedures outlined in the ʔaq̓am Custom Election Regulations.
All Candidates Forum:
Thursday, July 23;
6 – 8:00 p.m.;
ʔaq̓am Administration Boardroom.
Election Day: Thursday, July 30:
Location: ʔaq̓am Administration Boardroom;
Polling Hours: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
