Ktunaxa Nation residents have a referendum vote for the purpose of approving the Ktunaxa Nation Interim Citizenship Code on May 8.

Eligible voters will be asked the following ballot question: “Do you approve the proposed Ktunaxa Nation Interim Citizenship Code (dated for reference March, 2019).”

All persons affiliated with one of the four Ktunaxa Bands and who possess a status number affiliated with one of those four Ktunaxa Bands with a status number beginning with 602 (ʔAq̓am); 603 (Tobacco Plains Band); 604 (ʔAkisq̓nuk First Nation) or 606 (Lower Kootenay Band) and are 18 years of age or older as of the date of the Referendum Vote are eligible to vote.
