Storytime (Ages 3-5 years) every Tuesday 11:15 a.m.-noon at the Fernie Heritage Library.

Toddlertime (Ages 0-2 years) Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:15 a.m. Singing, simple stories and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers.
Children’s Activities for School-aged children
Tuesdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Knits, Knots & Yarns (March 7 & 14) Drop-in crafting for ages 8+. Learn the art of knitting while listening to the pioneer stories of Little House on the Prairie.
Wednesdays 3:45-4:45 p.m. Kids Read it First Book / Movie Club (March 1, 8 & 15) . For ages 9+ A book club with a movie ending. Drop-in. Books available at the library in the first week of March. This month’ s book: Matilda by Roald Dahl **Movie screening with popcorn on Wednesday March 15, 3:30-5 p.m.
Thursdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. LEGO Builders Club (March 2, 9, 16) FULL. New challenge every week, for ages 7+ Register for April session by emailing [email protected]
SPRING BREAK PROGRAMMING
Young Writers’ Workshop: March 22 (ages 10-12) and March 23 (ages 7-9) 1:30-3:30 p.m. both days Registration REQUIRED. Meet local authors and get inspired to start creating your own written work! valid library card and waiver to attend. Please register by emailing [email protected]
Coding and Building – March 23 & 24 from 11 a.m.-noon (Drop-in).
For kids 8+ years old interested in a fun way of understanding basic coding skills. Limited spaces. All children require a valid library card and waiver to attend library programs.
Asterix and Obelix Day – March 24 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Fun with your favourite Gauls. Costumes encouraged! Drop-in for ages 7+. All children require a valid library card and waiver to attend.
Teens
Pizza League for ages 13+ Thursday, March 16, 6 -7 p.m. Drop in for pizza and discussion.
Tea and Talk Book Club: Friday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. Mountain Story by Lori Larsens. All are welcome. Copies of the book are available from the library.
Walkie Talkie Book Club: Wednesday, March 22 at 10 a.m. Mountain Girl by Shelby Cain. We will meet at the library front steps and walk along along the river path and chat as we go. Copies of the book are available from the library.
Booked! Fernie Writers’ Series presents Caroline Adderson March 10 – Doors open at 7 p.m. Local live music. Author interview starts at 8 p.m. Beer and wine cash bar. Donations appreciated.
