On March 14, at 8 p.m., Park Place Lodge in partnership with the Fernie Chamber of Commerce will air the Rick Mercer Report ‘Fernie Griz Days’ edition live in the pub.

We are very honoured to have had Rick Mercer here to celebrate the 40th Annual Fernie Griz Days with us, to partake in a variety of events and see our magical town.

Canadian comedian, television personality, author and political satirist Rick Mercer, along with his crew, showed up and hit the ground running on Saturday, March 3.

Ready to dive into Griz Days, Mercer was eager to get into the action and take on whatever challenge, competition or spectator event was taking place. The Rocky Mountain Lumberjack Show, Crowning of the Extreme Griz and shooting t-shirts off a parade float are just a few highlights from the day. Most memorable may be Sunday’s Raging Elk Dummy Downhill event where Mercer was nearly taken out by one of the competing dummies.

The Fernie Chamber of Commerce, along with the City of Fernie, our sponsors and volunteers are proud of the Fernie Griz Days tradition and look forward to many more to come.
