Locals compete in Battle of the Borders
Two Mount Baker Secondary School students (Emma Murtagh and Michael Doll) travelled to Kamloops this past weekend to compete in the Battle of the Borders track and field meet.
Emma ran the 200 metre race and placed third; jumped in the long jump, with her best jump 4.36 metres and placed fourth; then she ran the 800 metre race and placed 11th.
Michael competed in long jump and jumped 5.21 metres, placing sixth. He threw discus, 26.55 metres, and placed second.
