Dog saved from fire by Elkford Fire Rescue
Quick action by Elkford Fire Rescue (EFR) members yesterday resulted in homes and pets being saved.
Elkford Fire Rescue responded to a duplex kitchen fire and immediately knocked it down.
Upon entering the home a dog was found, removed and successfully resuscitated by EFR members (pictured above). The dog, named Gibson, was taken to a veterinarian and later released.
EFR reports that two other animals were taken from the residence. The family is safe and both sides of the home received minor damage.
“Thank you so much for everything you have done for our family. And thanks to you we still have a fur babies!” Noted home resident Sara Lethbridge on Elkford Fire Rescue’s Facebook page.
