Louise Baxter found alive and well
Louise Baxter has been found – alive and well.
“She is okay and doing very well but will be checked out. Her dog, Maverick, was with her and is also doing very well,” reported Kimberley RCMP Sgt. Chris Newel earlier this evening (August 15), who also served as incident commander during the three-day search.
“She is in good health but is being assessed medically.
Baxter, 52, from Cranbrook, went missing in Jumbo Pass, west of Invermere, on August 12 after going for a walk by herself with her dog.
An experienced hiker, she was missing for three days, with search and rescue members from Columbia Valley, Golden, Cranbrook, Kimberley, Creston and Revelstoke involved in the search, along with Kimberley and Columbia Valley RCMP, and local volunteers.
