KIS hosting free BBQ and open house
Kimberley Independent School (KIS) is hosting an open house on Tuesday, June 4. All community members are invited to join the school in Chapman Camp for a free BBQ, presentation, and tours of the school.
Besides its small class sizes (maximum class size 16), hands-on inquiry-based learning, and passionate B.C. certified teachers, Kimberley Independent School also offers daily French classes and a specialized French Language Arts program for francophone students and students who are currently bilingual.
“KIS students develop the skills they will need to succeed throughout their lives: critical thinking, group collaboration, conflict resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving,” says Principal Kari Johnston. These, along with “soft skills” like self-discipline, emotion regulation, and self-awareness, position our students to tackle anything.”
Registration is now open for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 7.
The BBQ and open house begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at Kimberley Independent School (73 101 Ave).
