Cranbrook Age Friendly launches website

There is a brand new, easy and convenient way for seniors to find information in Cranbrook.

Cranbrook Age Friendly has been working hard to create a webpage that will provide easy access to all information pertaining to seniors at CranbrookSeniors.com.

The website is part a communication strategy to help seniors access information quickly and reliably in the Cranbrook area. The website features news, events and resources such as medical contacts, the local transit schedule, a volunteer directory and more.

“We want all members of our community to become familiar with this site. While it is geared towards seniors, it is also a great resource for anyone who has a senior in their life,” said Charlene Sperling, Cranbrook Age Friendly Coordinator. “Our ultimate goal is to make living in Cranbrook easier for all ages. We believe by starting with seniors, it will indirectly result in the support of all demographics in our community.”

Cranbrook Age Friendly is also currently working on a print version of the website information that will be delivered through the Cranbrook Townsman once per month starting this fall, to ensure seniors without technological access also has access to this information.

Cranbrook Age Friendly would like to thank all its contributors including Age Friendly BC, the Columbia Basin Trust, Union of British Columbia Municipalities, the City of Cranbrook, United Way East Kootenay, and Seniors in Partnership.
