Region’s lone wildfire now held
BC Wildfire Service reports the lone wildfire burning in the East Kootenay is now being held.
The fire in the West Plumbob drainage, in the South Teepee area about 33 km south of Cranbrook, spread from 10 hectares the evening of July 31 to 35 ha at its peak (August 5).
The fire was believed to be ignited by lightning.
