Fernie toddler seeks to aid BC Burn Fund for cousin
This is the best thing you’re going to hear all day.
Forget about all the negative noise in the world and contemplate this wonderfulness.
Three-year-old Yozsef (Yozi) from Fernie is raising funds to help his cousin Zander who is suffering from a horrific burn accident.
In his own words in the intro to a gofundme account established to help raise $300: “This past May my bestest friend in the whole wide world and Cousin Zander had the most horrific burn accident. We were separated for over five weeks. He was airlifted to The Vancouver Burn Unit. We felt so sad and didn’t know what we would do.
“Then the most amazing thing happened. They were supported by the BC Burn Fund and our local Fernie Fire Hall. They provided so much support and they were able to live at the BC Burn House while he received treatment over the five weeks.
“I have just recently turned three and would like to raise $300 (or more) to donate to the BC Burn Fund. I will also be cutting my hair and donating it to the Wigs for Kids BC organization.”
At last check, Yozi has smashed his stated goal, with more than $1,200 raised in two days.
