Banner Launch and Mural Celebration Sept. 7
The Arts Station’s 2022 Banner Project Launch and Mural Celebration is here!
You can sponsor a banner through The Arts Station’s website and view the banners on Wednesday, September 7 at 7 p.m.
The Banner Project highlights the diversity of the artistic community of the Elk Valley and brings Fernie’s downtown to life, celebrating the imagery and identity of the city.
Come and see the newest banners to be displayed in Fernie featuring local artwork in a variety of mediums.
The Fernie banners are hung around town and on the highway, displaying beautiful artwork for all to enjoy.
The banner launch is your opportunity to see the banners up close and personal, or maybe even sponsor a banner! The high-quality vinyl is fade and weather resistant and will look beautiful for years to come. These fine-art banners look wonderful displayed in a garden or poolside, or even indoors.
Sponsoring a banner means you are supporting and contributing to Banner Project and public art in Fernie.
After the two years the banners on display are replaced and the previous banner becomes available for the sponsor to take home. However, as the banner is a public art piece which has been exposed to the Fernie elements it may be weathered, have tears in it, or occasionally have gone for a float down the river.
By sponsoring a banner, you understand that there is no refund and the banner will be “as is.”
The Fernie and District Arts Council and the City of Fernie are not responsible for damaged or missing banners.
