Columbia Valley Search and Rescue (CVSAR) is thanking the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #71 (Windermere District) for its generous donation of $5,000.

The donation is in support of Columbia Valley Search and Rescue’s first ever fundraising campaign and will help replace aging equipment.

“The time has come to replace two four-by-four trucks and purchase an ATV,” said Scott Chaffey, CVSAR President.

“This equipment will go a long way to improving our incident response; increasing a victim’s chance of survival and ensuring the safety of our rescue team.”
