Local hills among Canada’s most expensive
Three local ski resorts and a nearby one are noted in a new survey by TravelMag.com as among the top 10 most expensive to stay at in Canada.
Kicking Horse at Golden, Panorama Mountain Resort near Invermere and Fernie Alpine Resort are fifth, sixth and eighth dearest in Canada, The Most Expensive Ski Resorts in the USA & Canada survey reported.
Seven of the top 10 are in British Columbia.
The TravelMag.com survey compared 30 ski resorts in the United States and Canada based on the cost of lodging and skiing for a couple, or two people sharing a room.
“Specifically, for each resort the average price two guests would have to spend for four nights in a hotel or condo, combined with a pair of three-day ski lift tickets, during the period spanning January to March 2023, was calculated,” TravelMag.com explained.
“Overall, Canada’s ski resorts are significantly more affordable than those in the US,” it added.
