Cranbrook curlers have rocking weekend in Creston
This past weekend, February 10 to 12, three Cranbrook ladies’ curling teams and one Cranbrook/Kimberley team travelled to Creston for the 58th annual Valentines Bonspiel after a three-year COVID-19 hiatus.
The weekend was full of some great curling starting Friday night and continuing all weekend with three Cranbrook teams making it the A finals on Sunday.
After four straight wins Team Trombley played in the A Final and took second place losing in a close 8 -6 score after eight ends to Team Amunson from Castlegar. Team Lee took third place Team Epp took fourth place
The Cranbrook Ladies Curling League will go on to host many teams from around the area in the Ladies Shades of Green Bonspiel Feb. 24 to 26 at the Cranbrook Curling Centre.
Don’t miss your chance Cranbrook to get out and watch some great curling, enjoy a drink and check out the newly renovated “9th end.”
Curling gets underway Friday night and will be continuing all weekend with the finals running Sunday morning.
