David James and Big River is coming to the Key City Theatre for one of the best country performances of your life!

David James and Big River are often described as one of the most authentic Outlaw Country tribute shows touring today. From the way James holds his guitar to the way he talks his audience, the legendary musicians live again when James steps to the mike and says, “Hello – I’m almost Johnny Cash.”

The extensive catalog of songs from Cash like Folsom Prison Blues, Boy Named Sue and Ring of Fire and Waylon’s mega hits like Luckenback Texas, Good Hearted Woman and Mammas Don’t Let Your Baby’s Grow Up To Be Cowboys, attracts audiences young and old alike to relive the music of these treat country icons.

David James is proud to introduce his new portrayal Country Music Hall of Fame artist Waylon Jennings. Pairing Cash and Waylon is a natural fit, as they were best of friends and worked together throughout their careers.

They recorded an album and notably performed alongside Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson as part of the super group The Highwaymen.

Together they invoke the sounds and image of another era , accurately recreating that classic sound, Outlaw Country.
